QUESTION: If you had a time machine that will only let you spend one hour in a different time, what date would you go to?
ANSWER: September 22, 2009 (If I’m not mistaken…somewhere along that week. lol)
It was the best date I have ever had. Funny that I should be saying this when the person that I was on a date with wasn’t even my boyfriend. Don’t get me wrong, I was not attached to anyone at the time. Haha! I can’t help but smile and laugh as I try to recall the details of that wonderful day. We were together for half a day, so if I only had one hour, I would want to go back specifically to the part where we went to this particular prayer place and to a restaurant to have Persian food.
When we met that day, the first thing we did was to go to this place that he liked to spend time alone to pray. We were there for about ten minutes and he described to me how he would go there sometimes just so he could reflect on things. I was a bit surprised that he took me there, well, I had no idea where we were going that day anyway so that reaction was predictable. But it wasn’t the typical date that you would have with a guy right? At that moment, I was happy to be with a person who knew God. I felt secure enough that I could trust him. Afterwards, he told me that he didn’t really plan on going there and that it was just something that he though of at the last minute.
After that, we went to a Persian restaurant. Good thing there were only a few customers, because we were being silly taking pictures of the food we ordered. It was my first time to eat a “wrapped” Shawarma…or is it usually wrapped? Anyway, he got a good laugh out of me trying to eat it with “grace”. The vegetables were sort of falling all over my plate..or maybe even the table. It took a while for me to finish it. We talked about a lot of things while we were at the restaurant and I could say that there was never a dull moment. We just never ran out of things to say and we were mostly laughing. After that we had dessert at a different place and did some more talking, laughing, sharing, and of course eating. We didn’t even notice it was getting dark.
I would love to go back to that time even if I was just given an hour. 🙂

Would you believe if I said that you could recognize intense happiness only if you are through intense misery? So, you should also thank the dates before that which actually helped you to recognize that this one was the best 😀 Cheers.,..

Thanks for your comment! Yes I do believe in that statement. You can never really appreciate something unless you experience the exact opposite. I hope to hear more from you. 🙂
